Choreographing a new music video

In December, I had the pleasure of choreographing a new music video for the artist Iris — known to many as Ladybug from MGP, Norway’s entry to the international music competition Eurovision. Iris moves within an exciting landscape of pop and rock, often infused with a mysterious undertone that draws the audience closer, deeper.
The music video we worked on is for the song “Psyco” — a track that plays with the idea of appreciating imperfection, the uncontrollable, and what might be perceived as being “a little crazy.” It’s a celebration of the human chaos we all carry, and the courage it takes to embrace it.
It therefore felt completely natural for me to take on the role of choreographer. In my work, I enjoy exploring contrasts — blending sensuality with more disturbed, almost unsettling movement qualities. When the body both seduces and challenges, a distinctive artistic expression emerges, one that perfectly aligns with the theme of the song. The movements in this video balance between control and rupture, elegance and unease — right where things become interesting.
The filming took place at Wallmanns Salonger in Oslo, a venue rich in drama, history, and theatrical atmosphere. The space itself added another layer to the project and amplified the sense of mystery and intensity that both the music and choreography aim to convey.
This project has been a reminder of how powerful the interaction between music, movement, and space can be. When all three meet in the right way, something is created that is not only seen — but felt.
I’m excited to share the final result.
