Semi-Finalist in This Weekend’s Battle

😍 Oh my god, how much I love this style and its amazing community! Tonight, my battle partner @ladynojoke and I competed in the semi-finals of the Extended Waacking Battle at @soulsessionsoslo – and wow, what a blast!

In recent years, I haven’t battled much, instead focusing on administrative work and teaching around my love for Waacking & Punking. But wow – what they say about aging and gaining life experience before hitting the battle floor is true. Tonight was so much fun!

One reason I sometimes struggle with the battle scene is the whole competition aspect.

I only want to enter the cypher (ring) with two intentions:

1. Showcase a style I personally adore

2. Have fun and entertain

Tonight, I truly felt I did just that.
