A Spiritual Awakening for Humanity?

Those who know me well know that I am a deeply spiritual person. One of those who sees connections between the major religions, astrology, Asian belief systems, and pure intuition. And precisely because of that, there is something that has been on my mind a lot over the past few months. I feel called to share this, as I sense there may be a need for some hope.
About 1–2 years ago, I noticed that spiritual communities were very focused on a so-called “awakening” that was supposedly on its way. I wondered for a long time what could be the reason behind such claims. That humanity would “wake up” and understand more about itself and the spiritual connection between humans, animals, plants, and “the other side.”
After all, humanity has many layers of knowledge we likely haven’t yet discovered. It is only a few hundred years ago that psychology was established as a field. Initially met with strong resistance from science. Now it is a major part of how society understands one another and sociology. Everything in our world is built upon something else, almost like a pyramid:
Physics. The science of the very first things created: energy, mass, and time. Without inherent meaning.
Chemistry. Physics structured by rules.
Biology. Chemistry organized into self-sustaining systems.
Psychology. Biology with meaning and intention.
Sociology. Psychology in interaction.
Economics. Sociology shaped by scarcity and resources.
Political Science. Economics combined with authority.
Art. Human systems (biology, psychology, sociology, economics, political science) combined with expression and the desire for meaning.
Beside the pyramid stands Philosophy, questioning every layer.
Historically, we have spent thousands of years learning to understand these scientific aspects. So who says it stops there? Many of us have felt the presence of higher powers. Some have already awakened.
“Faith, hope, and love — but the greatest of these is love,” says the Bible. Spiritual teachings say the same: the highest frequencies are love, forgiveness, and authenticity. Many clairvoyants and channelers describe Earth as one of the hardest places to experience life. That at birth, we forget our state of being purely soul. “heaven,” if you will. And our task is to come as close as possible to that state while living on Earth. To feel joy. To feel love. To be as good a human as possible.
Holy books speak about not harming others, about forgiveness even when it is difficult, about releasing pride and ego. As a child, I always believed that Earth must be what was described as “hell,” and that sinners existed only here. In many ways, spiritual teachings seem to confirm that feeling, yet also remind us that we are here to transform “hell” into something closer to a collective heaven.
And we have actually come far.
With globalization and less censorship, people see how dictators, often insecure men with enormous egos, are exposed in comparison to other nations. In our time, movements like “Woke” and “Me Too” have shifted human behavior. Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore once told Millennials and Gen Z:“You stand out. You are the first generation that does not accept injustice. Not only toward yourselves, but toward others.”
Psychology and trauma awareness have entered living rooms worldwide. We now understand how cycles of abuse and wounded egos create violence, narcissism, and domination. As Michael Jackson said in 1996: “It is my belief that our greatest social problems, from street crime to political wars, are the result of children having lost their childhood.” Psychology attempts to stop the chain reaction. And when that chain is broken, awakening can begin.
But I still asked myself: Wouldn’t it take more for humanity to awaken?
For a long time, I believed it might be connected to the explosion of AI online. My theory has been that people will become so exhausted by fake AI videos and manipulated truths that eventually we won’t trust anything we see online. With corruption constantly surfacing, it becomes difficult to know who is honest. Perhaps we will disconnect from screens and reconnect with real life, trusting only what we see and feel directly. Perhaps manipulated truth will push us inward, toward the truth we feel within ourselves.
And maybe that is part of the awakening.
But! Suddenly, the world feels shaken. Wars feel more brutal and frequent. Political leaders behave with alarming ego and fragility. Corruption, abuse, and exploitation are exposed. Hidden networks of power are dragged into the light. The world can appear hopeless, dishonest, cruel. With globalization and less censorship, people see how dictators — often insecure men with enormous egos — are exposed in comparison to other nations. In our time, we witness major political and social issues: a former president like Donald Trump insists he deserves a Nobel Peace Prize, even paying large sums and trying to get it for himself while stealing it from the real winner, while at the same time ICE and American police are killing people protesting for freedom. Greenland is threatened. And at the same moment, when the Epstein files surfaced, it became clear that some of the most powerful people in the world were connected to him — corruption, espionage, exploitation, human trafficking, torture, and even rumors of cannibalism. The numbers of abused children and girls are so vast and disturbing that it hits everyone deeply.
But here is the crucial part:
Evil cannot be defeated unless it is revealed.
What we are witnessing may be a web of corruption and narcissism that can no longer hide in the shadows. It feels like we have removed the blindfold. Now we can see. Now we can react. Now justice has a chance.
As a spiritual person, I speak of manifestation. But manifestation is not so different from prayer. “Ask, and you shall receive.” The universe always says “yes.” The question is: What are we truly asking for through our emotional state?
If we dwell in fear, anger, and despair, we attract more of it. If we cultivate hope, love, and belief in change, we strengthen that reality. This is not only spiritual — it is psychological.
So in this time of revelation, perhaps we must collectively focus on hope. On the belief that change is happening. That a safer world is possible.
Maybe an awakening really is underway?
I feel it in myself. I see it among friends. Public conversations have shifted. Spiritual language is no longer mocked but openly discussed. Not the religions, like christianity or islam. But the new age believes. Young celebrities are talking about "trusting the universe" and "listening to our intuitions". About manifesting and power of energy. Women’s voices, long suppressed under patriarchal systems, are rising. Across cultures and time, there has always been a belief that women carry a direct intuitive connection to the divine. For centuries, women practiced rituals through music and dance to regulate the nervous system and heal collectively, until such practices were suppressed by a man-made religion. A quick reminder on how even Quran, Bible and Tora explains womens direct connection to God. All the men had to suffer, fast, walk long distances or struggle to get a quick "hello" from God. While all the women was in their home, or with their family. Living their normal life. Effortlessly. And God came directly. The first person said to even joke and share a laugh with him, was a woman. She was the first to give him a name.
Without the oppression of women, the spiritual truth can awaken more easily. Be more exposed. Perhaps what we are witnessing is not a dramatic cosmic awakening — but a gradual remembering.
And whether or not we call it an awakening, perhaps we are moving toward a more loving world. Let us pray for that.
